Our Programme for the performances of Beyond a Joke (3-5 Apr) is available for advertisers.

The programme will be available in physical print (A5, 8 pages, stapled) as well as downloadable in pdf format via a QR code.

Pricing is as follows:

We usually sell out, so be quick.

The theatre doors will open around 6:45 each night and the bar will be open before curtain-up and again at the interval.

The bar will take cash or cards.

Souvenir Programmes will be free or can be downloaded to your mobile device. The programme will also be available on here from mid-March.

There is no age restriction on the play, however it is aimed at an adult audience.

Curtain-up is 7:30pm and the play should end around 10pm.

Beyond a Joke

ABC Drama is proud to announce its forthcoming production:

 "Beyond a Joke," is a delightful farce. Set in contemporary times within the charming yet accident-prone country residence of Andrew and Jane, this production unfolds in a location marked by the tragic yet comical demise of six individuals, each due to unfortunate incidents. Upon the unknowing arrival of daughter Sally's partner, Geoff, who misinterprets the humorous chaos of conversation to suspect nefarious reasons behind the prior fatalities. 
Directed by local Director John Wylde who regards this as a most ambitious undertakings by ABC Drama. The production features a technically intricate split-set design which means the society to perform 'away from home' for the first time in recent years; "Beyond a Joke" will be presented at Denbigh's Twm 'or Nant Theatre from 3rd to 5th April.

Beyond a Joke was first performed for the 1979 summer season at the Shanklin Theatre, Isle of Wight, opening on July 2nd by Newpalm Productions.  It starred Arthur Lowe, of Dad’s Army fame,  and his wife, Joan Cooper.

The comedy is written by Derek Benfield, a familiar face to British TV viewers as an actor in “Brothers” (1970s) and “Hetty Wainthropp Investigates” (1990s). more information on Derek Benfield

Another abc Dramatics Star!  Heather played Iris Carr in The Lady Vanishes. Congratulations!

Heather has just obtained a Master's Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills. 

Working with children ages 4-13 having mild to moderate social/emotional difficulties within a 1:1 clinical play therapy sessions in their school. She is now doing a Master's Diploma in Play Therapy so she can work with groups of children and on a 1:1 that maybe experiencing more severely impacting social/emotional difficulties.

 On top of that she is also a Trainee Filial Play Coach providing coaching sessions to parents to support their children ages 2-16 that may also be having social and emotional difficulties.
